Chris Winrow
Axe Racing Role: Physiotherapist
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy cover for the team will be provided by Chris Winrow. Chris is a Senior MSK physiotherapy working on behalf of PEAK Physiotherapy based in Leeds.
Chris has over 6 years of physiotherapy experience working with elite athletes and bring a range of skills to ensure the guys in the sled stay available throughout the season. Bobsleigh can take a huge toll on the bodies of the athletes, as Chris knows having been in a sled himself. Therefore, having a travelling physio will be a huge asset to the team.
Chris got his first taste of bobsleigh as Axel’s first ever brakeman during the two-week “bobschool” in lake placid in April 2019. Although getting behind any rookie driver for their first runs is not the most glorious task it has not deterred Chris who is keen to play a part in Axe Racing’s future towards the Olympic Games.
When not sliding with Axe Racing, Chris is available to be booked for treatment direct with Peak Physiotherapy. So, if you’re looking for treatment from a Physio with elite athlete experience and knowledge book a session with him!
